About The Monastery Manchester

Manchester's Most Inspiring events venue-once listed by The World Monuments Fund alongside the Taj Mahal, Pompeii, The Valley of the Kings and Machhu Picchu as one of the World's100 endangered sites. Still owned by the charity set up in 1996 to save the near ruined church & friary buildings, this unique & inspiring venue (voted Gold Winner in the M&IT awards 2012, 2013 and 2014 as the Best UK unusual venue) sits in the heart of east Manchester. All profits from events held are used to maintain these historic buildings and to support the Charity's community outreach work in skills, arts, education and health.
